Hi everyone! My name is Kristen Albers, and I’m the portrait consultant here at Unforgettable Photography!
Whenever you call the studio, I’m the voice behind the phone & your go-to girl! My position is to help guide you through image reveal appointments, booking sessions, packaging up orders, answering any questions you may have, and more importantly, being a friend.
In my eyes, my role is so extraordinary for a multitude of reasons. My favorite part of this job is the memories tied along with each session. Getting to be in the room watching the raw & genuine reactions and emotions coming from each person viewing their gallery is something so special to me.
I like to stay busy at work, so I also double as an assistant to Anna whenever the time may arise. So, you may even see me on a session with her, or helping with whatever crazy idea that she has in the studio! To add onto keeping myself busy, I also assist in designing albums where I collaborate with clients to create beautiful, personalized layouts that capture the essence of their memories.
Before working here at Unforgettable Photography, I had worked in the medical field for 8 years as a CNA & a medical assistant. Although, I loved the medical field, I still felt an urge to do something more creative with my life. They say all good things must come to an end, so I closed that chapter of my life to start something completely new! My past work experience in the medical field has taught me about compassion, empathy and work ethic. I’m grateful for how those jobs have shaped me into the person that I am today.
Feeling like my life was in a standstill with my work life & not feeling like I was home enough with my family, I saw a social media post that Anna was looking for an assistant. So naturally, I thought “what the heck” and applied on a whim. The minute I came into the studio, the atmosphere was welcoming & my interview felt like I was sitting around the table talking to my friends I had known for years.
I am married to my best friend and biggest supporter, Brandon, and together we have 2 beautiful daughters, Layla & Reese. We also share 2 Australian Shepherds & a lovable orange tabby cat. Native to the Clinton County area, I grew up in Trenton with my parents and two older brothers, and now I currently live in Breese.
My favorite sessions that Anna photographs are extended families, because there is so much sentiment & meaning behind those photos. They paint a whole story, and getting to see grandparents beaming with pride while being photographed with their family they built together, tugs at my heart strings quite a bit.
Family means the absolute world to me, as I grew up in a military family, so I value as much quality time with the people I love most. My biggest piece of advice that I like to give people is that you should never take for granted having your grandparents, aunts/uncles & cousins around.
When I’m not at work, I am an Assistant Coach for the Wesclin Varsity Dance Team. It’s such a rewarding experience, helping the team grow both as athletes & individuals, while sharing my passion for dance with them. It’s one of the highlights of my life outside of work!
When I’m not working or coaching, I’m usually hanging out with friends, family, or dragging my husband to the local Mexican restaurant… tacos & margaritas are my guilty pleasure! I love a good shopping day with my girlfriends, or going on walks to the park with my kiddos & pups.
A couple of fun facts about me are that I was born in Las Vegas, so that obviously means I’m a lucky girl! Also, I’ve been skydiving before! I tell everyone that it’s honestly the best experience you could have. So, if you’re ever on the fence about doing it, here’s your sign that life is short, do it!
